    Afternoon all,

didnt get up early this morning.... in fact i stayed in bed till gone mid day and then it was only because i knew i hadnt taken my medication.

"It isnt like you to stay in bed" hubby said and he is right. I just couldnt be bothered.... It was only when i had a message from one of my oldest friends telling me she wanted to show me something and would i be in later did i move myself.

Havent seen much of 'Youngest' since he learned to drive. He's either at work or out with his mates. He comes home for a shower then he's off out again.:rotfl:

Hubby is down the shed and messing with the car and the girls are at my feet.

    Strange day.....

If I didn't know better, I'd say Mr LW had been fiddling about with my Rainmaker. I mentioned yesterday that the back lawn could use a good cut, and that I did it last time and nearly knocked myself into Wednesday week, and lo and behold, today it's persisting down!

Just back from getting some shopping £14.00 in Lidls and £2.90 in Aldis that will do me for the rest of the week for sure.Lots of fresh fruit and veg mainly.

So I'm pleased as I am rapidly getting fed up with shopping.Maybe its my age, but people pushing and shoving in shops are so rude at times. I held a door open for a lady who was trying to move her pushchair with twins in and she said thank you most politely, she was followed by about 6-7 people who CBA to say thank you and I am just standing there like a servant for them

I got fed up in the end and just walked away and a bloke muttered something rude after I did, and I have shoes older than this chap Grrr.I was in a good mood up until then.

I was glad to get home and get the shopping put away.

Talking of shopping my DD and I save any Tescos coupons up every year, and use them in our first shop when we go on holiday. This year, as happened last year, a very snooty woman in the Ryde shop said 'This ones been used ' I replied 'I don't see how as we save them up for this purpose every year ,plus it was still attached to two other couplons that I had received through a posting Surely if one had been used they all would have'
    She just grunted and said
"Not my problem ,phone them up when you get home" Is it me or people really getting more aggressive in shops.

I will phone on Tuesday and see what they say. I know nothing has been used since we came home from holiday last year as we start saving with the November postings onwards.

The same thing happened last year as well It seems that Tescos either send out the wrong postings or there is a glitch in their tills

I was a bit cross and felt rather embarrassed as I felt she thought I was trying to get away with something. I am one of the most honest folk you could find, and wouldn't dream of doing anything like that.

Tesco seems to be losing customers hand over fist and I'm not suprised really I shan't be using them again after Tuesday I shall stick to Lidls and Aldis where customers are treated a bit better I think
Well just having a cuppa then off to Dds for dinner
weather hasn't been brilliant, although the washing is getting a slight blow on the line at the moment
    Cheers chums

  • Good afternoon everyone,

Well its been grey and overcast all day, but it has stayed dry. I have washing on the line.

DH has been out on appointments since 10.00 am but hope he will be home soon.

DD suddenly announced she has homework to do, first I'd heard of it, she goes back on Thursday. DS has gone off to work again. He just has one more late shift tomorrow. I have made the dinner already and made sure DS had his before he left and ours will just need heating up later. I also did a bit of baking too, so we have biscuits and cake. I will make a loaf tomorrow.

I am tackling the ironing at the moment. While watching the TV.

JackieO I know what you mean about shopping, some people are so rude I find it quite stressful sometimes. I mainly shop in Ald* but use the other supermarkets for the things Ald* don't stock but have had the same problem with Tesco vouchers in the past.

Have a good evening everyone. :)

Saw my friend earlier. She has recently bought her childhood home 3 doors up from me. Her Father has recently gone into sheltered accommodation and she is in the middle of gutting the place as it is still original from the 1970s. I had a shock when i went in the place a few weeks ago cause it was like time had stood still. We played together a lot as kids and her home was as much home as mine was... such happy memories.:)

Anyway, the bare walls in what used to be her bedroom were exposed as she is having all the rooms plastered and she was amazed at the 'artwork' she found under the wallpaper.

    Some gems i found were:

    Sleep well all.
