in Phones & TV
Hi
we have been with Sky for over 8 years now
We have TV broadband and phone with them. The TV is their family pack with discounts at 31.50. The internet is free but we pay 5.50 on multi screen and £17 for line rental and £5 for anytime talk
All in all we pay £60 for all and have seen BT at £29 per month
How does BT rate against SKY?
We use little of the channels we have so would downgrade or go to BT but don't wont to be worse off !
BT internet is Fibre unlimited too

How childish! If you cannot offer advice as to the OP's obvious needs, why post such drivel? Does it massage your ego in some way?
marksteve27, sorry that I cannot offer any advice myself, I hope some more intelligent and mature forum member can.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

I pay around the £60 mark for BT line, BTvision (tv channels) and BT infinity the fastest broadband in most areas.
However I don't chose my ISP (internet service provider) based on the company as a whole. I go by who can give me the best speeds where I live. The phone line and TV come secondary, as with high-speed internet you can watch anything you like anyway with online TV channels.
I would highly recommend going by that system.
Go to this website uswitch.com/broadband/speedtest/streetstats/
(i cannot post links yet so you will have to highlight the text, right click, and left click-go to address)
and put in your postcode and it will tell you what speeds your neighbours are getting and with who.0 -
Most ISPs will give you roughly the same speeds as they all use the same BT line, whether that is fibre or ADSL. The exception to this is Virgin. So in theory BT Fibre will be the same speed as Sky Fibre on an equivalent package.
You say you don't want to be worse off. What do you mean by that? Do you mean the price you are paying, or the choice of channels?
If you take away all the channels you don't watch, what is the Sky price? I'm guessing your £60 is the current package, and the £29 you say for BT is the package that is most suitable for you.
Have a figure from BT, and then cancel the Sky. They may well try and keep you and undercut the BT price. Even if they don't, as you said you are saving money so it's a win win for you.0
