bank transfers on bank holidays?

hello,
i was wondering if anyone knows if coventry building society process bank transfers such as wages over a bank holiday weekend? i have noticed that if i want to make a payment the next available date to leave my account is tuesday? would this mean payments made into my account also work this way?

It's quite possible that Coventry are one of the building societies that only process incoming and outgoing transactions on working days.
If you want 7 days a week processing for everything, have a look at a Tesco current account.
There has been a problem with payments from HSBC end of last week - does your employer bank with HSBC by any chance?0
