Stolen Car Write-off Insurance
Can anyone please tell me who it is the driver should be dealing with when the car is stolen, wrecked and considered a write-off.
A friend's car was stolen about two weeks ago and promptly wrecked. The police picked up the people involved and went through all the procedures, finger-printing etc. A courtesy car was provided during the period of the incident and the determination that it was to be a write-off. Now the courtesy car has been taken back and the insurer has mad an offer - way below the price of what it takes to replace the less than 3 year old car. The offer was refused and now the insurer is saying that they have to wait until whoever it is now has the - a garage I resume - before they can consider another offer. So, in the meantime my friend is without transportation and all the inconvenience that incurs. It seems like the insurer is putting the onus on the insured to deal with the garage or whoever. Any thoughts on this?
Thank you.

Your friend needs to find some adverts for similar cars on sale and go back to the insurance company with the price of them. It's nothing to do with the garage or whoever.0
