Frying pan needed!

I hope someone can help me, I have tried several frying pans, the latest being a ceramic one. However, whether I use olive or sunflower oil and even tried lard [! ] Eggs still stick, potatoes don't crisp, and omelettes are falling apart when I try to take them out of the pan, [no, they won't slide out onto the plate! ]
I don't cook on a high heat,the cooker is gas/

What sort of pan do you use?
Thank you
Caz

I find the Tefal non stick pans sold in Asda are as good as the very expensive ones sold in places like John Lewis. The secret seems to be to get them fsirly hot before adding a little coooking oil and then frying the food.

My Tefal pans have lasted years and I've now bought Tefal oven dishes too.

Approx 3 years ago we installed an induction hob....mad panic as Shrove Tuesday was approaching, and had no frying pan suitable for the hob.

Daughter popped into Ikea and bought a £10 non stick jobbie to see us through Pancake Day - it's been really good and have no immediate plans to replace it.

Always use tefal red spot and never had a problem

However they don't last a lifetime if not looked after and that means no detergent or scourers. Just wipe out the inside with paper and wash and carbon deposits off the out side And never ever use metal implements on them

I've had a tefal red spot ten years, no flaking of the non-stick, I'd recommend them.
