I'm in NI and my car insurance runs out at the end of this month. I'm away all of September into October. Is it possible to fill in the SORN form and post it off to cover the month of September? Then get the car taxed when I return in October?

No, it will be left at my parent's house which has a yard round the back to park in. It will not be on a public road.0

You can SORN a car for a single day if you wish.
