EBay buyer opens a 'not as described' dispute

Hi,
This is a first for me...
Just sold an item on eBay as 'spares or repair' and stated 'no returns' in the details.
The item worked perfectly, but was only sold for 'spares or repair' because there was no power supply included.
I emphasised in the description that the correct power supply was crucial for operation and if not, there would be a buzzing noise.
Guess what?
Buyer received the item yesterday and opened a dispute with Ebay (if he had contacted me beforehand it would have been more acceptable), saying it was not as described as it was making a buzzing noise (he actually said that the listing said "slight" but of course it didn't)!
Needless to say, eBay expect me to offer him a refund plus return postage!
I've sent a reply to the buyer politely reiterating the information about the power supply.
Sorry about the long rant, but I'm extremely angry and would like to know what my next move should be.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

PHONE Ebay and tell them that the buzzing noise is clearly stated in the listing so you do not think it is fair that you should have to accept a return.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Thank you very much for your reply, pinkshoes.
Yes, I have taken your advice and I have just phoned eBay and received the (presumably) stock answer..."we consider both sides of the dispute impartially, we will review it by 6th September, nothing can be done until then, put yourself in their shoes...it's the only way they can get their money back etc, etc".
Oh well, just have to wait and see...
Once again, many thanks.0 -
Add the info to the case so the CS agent can read AND understand the problem.
