provident suddenly reporting on my credit file

hi guys, so got declined today for an ipad on my existing contract with 3, i have only 1 default from years ago, which thety already knew about... anywho went for the appeal and they tell me what i provided didn't match what they saw, so they declined me.

So i restart my experien... cancelled it 4 months ago.

and to my horror there is 1 delinquent entry from provident, and one 3 months late.

Now i have 2 loans with provident,,,, always used them no problem until a few months ago, i arranged with my agent to miss a week as i was away... no problem he tell me. he now shrugs his shoulders tell me nothing he can do.

My question is, why have they waited until 3 weeks ago to suddenly show the entire history of my accounts with them instead of the very beginning like everyone else.... are they allowed to do that, and what can do do about this????

You should have arranged to make 2 payments, not 'miss a week'.

Yes they are allowed to do this.

It should have been made the previous week (as in the week before the missed payment)

As you have missed a payment, even if only for a week, the payment is accurate and therefore cannot be changed.

    ill break it down

    2 loans

    1 missed payment

credit report showing loan 1 payment 3 months late

    loan 2 delinquent

so how can that possibly be right... missing 1 payment of £5 and paying £10 the next week

Because the payment was due the week before it was made.

You therefore missed a payment and therefore should be reported as such. The written contract said it should be paid on a date, it wasn't paid on that date.

Why there is a '3' there I don't know, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's 3 months late.
