Yep, get them to flush the system and replace with the proper oil without additives. Or, tell them you did not request this pack, so will not be paying for it.
These addatives cost only a couple of £ so if you want to add them, then you can do it yourself at a lower cost than £24.95.Never Knowingly Understood.
Member #1 of £1,000 challenge - £13.74/ £1000 (that's 1.374%)

So..... It's really just a way of up selling my appealing to their customers ego's?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

That implies that they don't trust the oil !!0 -
No, the engine flush ensures that more of the old oil gets removed during an oil change and fuel treatment is just like redex, that theoretically cleans the injectors. It may just be included in the standard price of the service.Although it will be listed separately for accounting purposes.0

OK - It was Oil System Cleaner - Used to clean out the engine
& Fuel System Cleaner - used to clean the fuel system.
This seems excessive for what they actually do - the car has only done 3500 miles from new and this was the first 12 month service !!
Am I within my rights to request a refund ?0 -
I'd be looking far another service centre for next time, one wonders what more pointless add ons they dream up for subsequent services.
Unless those 3500 miles were in dusty outback type conditions and you filled up with fuel from dubious sources in the third world there cannot conceivably have been any need for this con, i would be demanding a refund of this charge and explaining in no uncertain terms why i wouldn't ever be darkening their doorstep again.0 -

How much did they quote for a service and what did you pay?
If it's within the cost of the service and they claim to have done the clean, why should you be entitled to a refund, unless you asked them not to do it?0 -
