Citroen Relay -recon. gearbox and starting problem
Options
I have removed the gearbox, had it reconditioned, and replaced it. However the van will not start - battery and starter are ok. Engine auto-diagnosis light is on ( red ) on dashboard. Have fitted a new crankshaft angle sensor. Fault finder showed faults but didn't specify, then another showed no faults! Any help please?!

Did you at any time disconnect or reconnect the battery with a key in the ignition or ignition turned on? That has been known to kill the immobiliser unit.
Age and details of the vehicle might also elicit a bit more help, rather than us guessing and fumbling around looking for a needle in a stack of needles.0 -
Thank you for reply -
The van ( actually a mini bus ) is 2003 HDI 2.2 MWB.
The battery was never disconnected.
Happy to supply any more details.0 -
Have you had a diagnostic done by Citroen/Peugeot?
Normal code reader can only read the standard OBDII data, Citroen/Peugeot have their own which reads "hidden" codes and nobody else can get this equipment.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Thanks, but sounds expensive - we are 12 miles from nearest Citroen dealer.0

Sorry, have no experience on these at all, but would be checking every connection in and around the area you have worked on to make sure there is no daft wire, connector block or earth that has been left undone/insecure.0
