Well , bit of a turn up , and could be good for us we were thinking of selling our house next year but we knew in the mean time we'd have to spend a bit to get it up to scratch , so we spoke to a builder friend of ours , to get quote for works - , well hes offered to buy it from us as it is , for a great price and comparable to other houses that have sold on our road (neighbour 4 doors away sold a year a go for less and her house was immaculate)
I know now we have to find a house , and hes happy to give us time to do that - but is it that easy? that all we do now is instruct a solicitor/conveyancer and he does the same and the process is started ?
or do i need to do anything else ?

No, that's it. We are buying s house from friends in a private sale. All you need to do is agree a price, both of you instruct solicitors/conveyencers and then let them do the rest.Determined to save and not squander!

We bought from friends.
Went out for a meal with them, discovered they were leaving and offered to buy, subject to 2 weeks looking to check value and see what else we could get. We couldn't beat the deal we'd agreed on.
No agent fees, either way, as we sold ours privately too. What's not to like?0 -
No different to any other sale excep no EA fees.
Now - you've saved those fees so why not do the conveyancing yourself too.....
