Evening
Not posted for quite a while, computer been going silly slow and my life has been going far to fast so end up not doing it, which is a shame as I love to read everyones news. Exciting weekend her, whole family home for a day DH not back to work until Sunday, DD back to uni Monday and DS has first weekend off from new job in nearly 3 months and is making a flying visit (train strikes may cut this very short
Even though I havent been posting I have been trying to stick to the OS ways, and have succeeded quite well, enough so we were able to save up to pay DDs first 2 months rent and she now has extra from her loan to buy the books etc that she needs without topping up overdraft as rent was due before loan is paid. She has been working hard and got a first so we were all very proud. She also has part time job and will do this alongside her teacher training. She has also become a real bargain hunter and has kitted herself out for the autumn/winter placement with some rather nice clothes including some labels, all from local car boot sale over the summer, she also bought few bits for her new shared house, its amazing what people will sell for a few pence sometimes. i must sort out a new grocery budget and start posting on that thread again too, I find it really helps to keep a tab on spending and keeping to it,if theres a chance I might have to admit to failure.

Load of laundry washed, dried and put away. OH's shorts ironed. Also cleaned the sitting room, the kitchen will have to wait until tomorrow, I am bushed.

HI everyone
TA
Would something like the protein drinks made into a milk shake help? Hope something gets sorted out soon. Had you thought of contacting PALS?
Older dd and son in law drove up from Oxford this morning, had a bite to eat and left their cat with bits and bobs her till Sunday. They then went to collect keys for their new rented home near Leeds, drop off a few things there and had to drive back to Oxford tonight. The move should be completed this weekend :j
Made a quorn and veg noodle dish for lunch and have diced beef, peppers, onions, mushroom and tomatoes in the oven to have with naan bread.
Rushed round madly yesterday as got home at 4 to be told by DD that ea had asked to send viewers round at 6pm!!!! Between us we managed to hoover, tidy all clutter out of sight, dust, and arrange several vases of flowers around the house.

ELONA - no I hadn't thought about P.A.L.S. I must admit. However, the specialist NET nurse at St James rang me back this morning and she is lovely, offering suggestions and generally just listening to my concerns. She says any time I just need advice or someone to talk to I have just to ring, which is nice. She also sits in on the clinics where the Oncology team see the NET patients so she gets to know everyone. It's a position that's been a long time coming but just at the right time for us.
Have a nice evening all. I have a bottle of Pinot Grigio chilling and a bottle of Shiraz on the top and can't decide which to open tonight - decisions decisions! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
