I am on ESA and I got a sick note that covers me from 6th July to 31st Aug 2015. I got a letter today reminding me that my sick note is about to run out and I have to submit a new one before 1st Sept. I have a doctors appointment for a new one but it isn't until 3rd Sept, it was the soonest I could get and my usual fortnightly payment from ESA is due on 31st Aug. Should I still get this payment?
Thanks
Thanks

Ring them up. I had the same and they extended old sick note to cover that payment.0

If your current certificate covers you to the 31st and payment is due that day you have no problem. In fact you should find payment in your account on Friday as Monday is a Bank Holiday. Just ensure that your GP makes it clear that your new certificate runs from the 1st of September.0

I'm in Scotland. I don't think its a bank holiday here on Monday, just England and Wales.
