Christening Present for little boy

My dd was christened recently, and she was given a lot of photo frames (no space for them all in our flat, plus I'd have to dust them
) and a lot of money boxes (same problem). The presents we appreciated most were - lovely books (can't have too many books!) with a thoughtful inscription, a Royal Mint special set of coins from the year she was born (about £20 I think), and of course money for her savings account.
The Book People do a lovely Beatrix Potter Nursery Rhyme collection with CD, or a complete collection of Winnie the Pooh which would make lovely gifts. I'd have loved the tree idea too!0 -
We bought our friends little boy some wish pebbles www.pebbletree.co.uk thought it was something abit different - and a keepsake which does not require dusting!0

Thank you for all your suggestions. If anyone else is looking @ the thread for ideas I ended up getting a fabulous hardback anniversary collection of Thomas the tank engine.0
