Any tips on what I need to say, it seems so unfair.
Its not really unfair. The reason you gave is used in virtually every fraudulent and try-it-on complaint going. Lenders and others are reporting as many has half the complaints they get dont even have PPI. yet they give these reasons in their complaint.
They cant just believe you because you say it happened.
Many many years ago, when I was just a young clerk, I had a complaint against me. The person pointed me out and made allegations of wrongdoing that I did and what I had said that led to him having the wrong product. I was hauled into the manager's office and grilled. It was a horrible experience. About a week later, they were able to get some copies of the documents and it turned out the transaction occurred before I was even employed there and couldnt be me. That is unfair. False allegations happen. Some with malice trying it on. Some with poor recollection. This is why evidence forms the basis of outcomes. What you say is considered but unless the evidence suggests what you say is correct, then it wont succeed on that point.
You shouldnt need anyone to tell you what to say as you are making a complaint about something. If you dont know what you are complaining about then perhaps you dont have a complaint. The PPI article on this site gives indications of possible areas that may have had issues. So, take a read of that. However, having already made your complaint and been rejected, you need act quickly if you wish to introduce new complaint reasons as they can bar any future complaint on the PPI after 6 months.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
