If I was to take the number plates off my car and walk through the car park entrance holding them facing the cameras on a car park that smart parking has auto regognition system on will I get a 'fine' through the post?

Let us know how it goes. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I have a friend with spare plates for their car. I might just borrow them and try this.0

I have just got the v5 for my new car and need to change the number plates. I could always stay in the car park all day and change them just before I leave. :-)0

it would not alter there correct hit rate % using the ANPR system .
in a lot of cases someone has driven onto the carpark behind another vehicle and because of the camera angle there number has not been recorded , same as leaving , this is why we see so many "double dips" , ie customer arrived and left in the morning and arrived again and left again later in the day
however the ANPR system has failed to spot them leaving in the morning and presumes they have been there all day0 -

"failed" indeed. I'm sure it'll report the mismatch to someone (if at least "this plate has entered twice and left once") who has "failed" to connect the dots.0 -
muppets cannot join dots , PE have a system where a muppet does 27 checks ,, but fails0

At my local Aldi I spotted a van driver doing the opposite - he covered his number plates on entrance and exit. Good work my man :T:T:T:T"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0
