Santander

Options
Good morning,

I have received a copy of the credit agreement for a loan taken out in 2008 with Santander.

In the terms and conditions is the following:

Optional payment protection insurance:
i) You have indicated that you wish the Insured Person to have the benefit of the option payment protection insurance ('the cover') which we have arranged with our insurers for the benefit of those of our unsecured personal loan customers who are eligible for it and wish to pay it.

They havent sent me the key financial information but it sounds to me like I had PPI. Would you agree?

If you had PPI, it will show on the agreement.
It should give the amount of the PPI, interest and monthly payment.
Having it on the agreement does not mean that it was taken or paid for.

Yes. However, it also sounds to me like you knew exactly what you were doing and willingly signed up to it?

I presume that this is the loan agreement that was signed by you at the time you took out the loan?
