    Are things any better?

Middle DD gets back from America this morning and is going home to pick up her car. pack a few bits and come to see me and youngest, have a chat , a meal and shower and a nap. Not sure if she is staying overnight as she goes to a wedding on Saturday.

Older DD and SIL arrive tomorrow to drop off their cat as they have removal people coming at the weekend and that might scare her.
Next week they should be living about half an hours drive away :j

Youngest is delighted with bunting and with learning to cook and posted a picture of the chicken and mushroom pie we made.

Need to get my lazy derriere up and dressed and think about breakfast etc.

    Hugs to all

    Good morning everyone.

A grey and chilly start here today, I'm not sure how the rest of the day will turn out.

    Thinking of you TA
RR have a lovely day and fabulous holiday.
dumpling, wish I could get organised like you.

Yesterday DD and I went to Bluewater on the bus. I gave her some money as she needs some clothes for 6th form. They changed the dress code from anything goes (jeans) to smart business dress. She has bought some nice bits including a pair of jeans from G@p reduced from £45 to £15 so she was pleased. I have promised her some more money soon to get more things.

DS has 5 friends from Bromley staying over last night. They were going out to the pub but decided to stay in inside. Needless to say they were up all night talking and seemed to be lots of doors banging, but really they weren't any trouble, and its the first time he has had friends down since we moved last year so can't complain. Once they go home I will give the house a good hoover and mop the floors as we are looking rather untidy:D

I don't think I will be doing much today as am feeling quite tired. I am going to work out a meal plan right through to next week and plan a shopping list. I still have a big basket of ironing to do but will do that later.

I have just come across a recipe for butternut squash and red lentil soup cooked in the slow cooker, so I think we will have that for our dinner tonight, I have some bread rolls I made on Tuesday so will have them with the soup as they need eating up.

    Have a good day everyone.:)

  • Dry here so far but some very ominous looking clouds.

    Pay day today :j
We are going shopping this afternoon when DH gets home from work, new super 6 this week and I want to go to Sainsbury to pick up a few bits that I can't get anywhere else, I only go every four months, sometimes 6 months because their prices are a joke and I couldn't afford to shop there every week.

Got a phone call from the company I ordered my new fold up scooter from saying that the delivery would be two weeks late :( I could upgrade at no extra charge, but I didn't like what they offered me, it may have been £50 saving but it had one of those D tillers that I hate.
So no zoo or coastal visits until it comes :( We could use the wheelchair but DH has a damaged shoulder and my arms and hands are not strong enough to wheel myself.

Diabetic nurse was pleased with my progress but has upped my insulin again to give my pancreas another little tweak. I have to go back in a month after my hab1c and cholesterol blood test. She told me I have to avoid stress and to stop worrying about the family and start putting myself first, but that is easier said than done.

If she is happy with the blood test results then I can ask to be put on the waiting list for disc replacement in my neck. I will probably have to wait 16 weeks to see the surgeon though :(

Quiet house today, everyone is at work so I am having a peaceful day catching up on some me time as ordered ;)

  • With regards to getting old, hubby said to me this morning 'Why do you hop around on one leg when you put you knickers on, why don't you just sit down?'
I replied 'Only old people sit down to put their knickers on!'
I'm already drawing my pension, lol.
    Chin up, Titus out.
