Poverty? Or maybe just hard work? Mr Corbyn it seems has a few ideas.

Don't forget the Donaldson report and the recommendation to close district hospitals that couldn't be afforded - no party here would vote for that but expect Westminster to make the decisions quickly. I suspect if the whole thing folds we'll have half the number of hospitals this time next year. Make of that what you will.
Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"

  • This is all going to end in a disaster, we can not afford these cuts in N.I, we are the poorest region in the UK and while other regions of the UK are in recovery we are not going anywhere. We are the most reliant on tax credits in the UK due to our low wages we will be hit the hardest out of any part of the UK. Hospital waiting times are already at an all time high and that's before the cuts, I know me personally I am already waiting over a year to see a specialist.

Its all very convenient that this has happened, and as a unionist myself I do see this as ploy by the UUP.
