                    Hi all
Cut a very long story short I haven't been on for a while due to being depressed and unwell. Finally feeling so much better and I can again see a tiny flicker of a light at the end of my very long tunnel.
I am ashamed to say that my debt has gone up not down
I took my eye off the ball and look what happened.
I just wanted to get back into the swing of things and hope that you all don't judge me too harshly.
I will definitely be sticking around this time as the debt just adds to the stress.
Please feel free to ignore me as I have been a fool and am kicking my own back side but I will certainly be reading lots and getting some excellent tips again
Thankyou

Best of luck in getting on top of things here and remember there is no reason at all to feel any shame as lot's of people have debts and do nothing until it is far too late, Do an SOA and look at where you can make cutbacks whilst planning all your expenditure.0

Try not to beat yourself up 12 month challenge! No one's perfect, we all make mistakes and spending money is not a terrible mistake in the grander scheme of things. Just a chance to overhaul your lifestyle and make intentional decisions.
You're in good company her. All of us either have debt or did at least at one point!
Good luck in making changes to your life that will lead to more peace of mind xDF as at 30/12/16

I have slipped up many a time. Sometimes I got so sick of not having any money that when I did have some I spent it on rubbish rather than paying my debts first.0

            Come on now!
I'm not going to tell you to not worry and forget about it, I'm going to tell you to feel the boot up your backside, and push that hurt and pain into sorting yourself out!
Get angry with your situation and thrust yourself into rectifying it.
This is meant in a nice way! honestly. But sometimes I think if we just shrug and so 'o well' we end up back there a few months later not having learnt out lesson....you could go round and round...each time ending up more in debt and further into the blues than before....and we really dont want that!!
Do you have anything to keep you focused? I listen to a daily money podcast.
You could have a visual representation of your dreams and goals on your fridge? that could keep your eye on the prize/goal/dream of being debt free

Thank you Rock your reply made me smile
I certainly do feel the boot up my backside  What you say is so true and I am using my anger and frustration and channelling it into my debt busting.
I will be on here religiously to keep me motivated with other stories of success.
I have done a snowball and have a copy to look at daily (if that's not enough to keep me on track then nothing will)
I have dusted myself off and have all of my three chins up and ready.:D

Never feel ashamed or embarrassed, life is full of highs and lows, and I firmly believe that its experiencing both of these that mold us into the people we are. Our mental health is far more important than the £, yes it adds to the burden sometimes, but life is for living!
