Job Lot Or Singles

Hi - any advice here very much appreciated. I have about 60 TY Beanie Babies, none of them particularly highly collectable, some worth more than others. Just wondering if anyone can offer opinions as to whether I should sell them as a job lot or singly.

Thanks in advance

I would track similar items on Ebay to see how much they go for. The more collectable ones you could then sell singly, with a good idea of a starting price, the others could be as a lot. If you add them to 'My Ebay' you can 'watch' a number of items and see what they finally go for. I think that is a pretty good rule for whatever you plan to sell on Ebay.

The market seems to have fallen out of the Beanie market, the last lot I bought as gifts were 99p each.

As the others have suggested look through the completed listings, pick out any valuable ones and maybe do the rest in small batches.

Be careful to mark them as from a smoke free home, and mean it! The reason I stopped buying on ebay was I had a couple that reeked of smoke. Be careful as well to mention tags, and whether those tags have always been protected with a plastic tag protector, and whether the beanie has been behind glass. A collector will pay more for a Ty bear that has been dust protected that for one that has just sat on the bedroom shelf.

If singles don't go for much, or don't sell, sell them in small lots (maybe 5) and will be more likely to sell and may attract a higher price.

Thanks for the advice guys - am going to keep an eye out over next few days then may put them on in small 'lots'. To be honest I dont think I could be bothered with the hassle of selling them singly!

If you are not in a hurry and if some you don't think have a large sales price, wait until the next cheap/free listing day (although you may find other sellers doing the same but at least you won't have paid alot out in listings fees).

I was going to ask exactly the same question as I am moving and I have over 200 beanies and buddies (thought it was a good idea at the time!) and I don't want to take them with me, could do with the dosh!!! :D I was debating between ebay(I am an ebay virgin when it comes to selling) or advertising them as a job lot on loot(or similiar)

Don't fancy dragging them to a car boot sale just to bring them home again
