Writing a letter to my doctor about my depression?

    I totally agree with the bullet points notes I do think this is very helpful. I think we over estimate what a GP has time to do. OP had said she's gone to the GP for 6 months and she has been referred to therapy but then wasn't happy that they had to go to see them. I got the feeling from their recent thread that they already have high expectations of the dedication health workers should give her and being disappointed so far with the response she has received that she is pining all her hope on this new GP. A bullet point with symptoms, treatments already received, support offered but turned down and reason why will be much more helpful to the GP than a detailed letter which probably will be just perused looking for the above.
