Even if you drive away the car (while key inside the house), after a short distance engine will no longer talk with the key and thus car will stop.
I recall few years back TopGear demonstrated this.
Put simply, you can't drive the car considerable distance without the key.
That sounds extremely unsafe to me.
Suppose someone started the car then went back to their house to pick something up, leaving the keys inside by mistake.
Then after driving off, the car decided to stop just as it was going across a busy junction or on a slip road whilst merging with fast moving traffic.0 -
So what are they to do? Send the team of engineers and designers round to your house?
you sound like your own worst enemy, a 3 month old car and you refuse to allow their designated technicians look at it because of what might or might not happen.
Either quit moaning or do something about it0
