New plug and taps?

Hi all,
We moved into our new house in March. The bathroom is nice enough, but the mixer tap is quite crabby looking and the plug (which is operated by a lever behind the tap which makes the plug pop up) doesn't deal up properly and the lever is quite stiff. So what I'd like to do is replace the tap and plug system (I have my eye on a waterfall tap) without taking off the entire sink and then disturbing the tiling. Would that sort of thing be possible for a plumber to do? Or will the whole thing have to come off the wall or be replaced?
Many thanks!

have a search on You Tube, there are loads of videos to help.0 -

Given the level the OP was pitched at, DIY'ing this might be [STRIKE]messy[/STRIKE] a bit of a stretch, especially if there are no check valves on the hot/cold feeds to the taps. You'd obviously agree that a competent plumber would be able to do it though!0 -
As casper has said, check the valves.
You will also want to check that the tap you have your eye on can work in your bathroom, look out for the water pressure.
The price for swapping over a tap by a professional fitter would be around £50-£90. (whatprice website) Take a look at this website for prices of jobs such as the one you need. Or if you /your partner are competent D.I.Y'ers then it is a fairly straight forward job to do.
If you purchase your new taps together you may benefit form better savings and a complete/ cohesive finish in your bathroomTake a p[eek at our site, we offer free delivery on everything too.....showerenclosuresdirect.

They're so infuriating. I had to rip ours out. Every time the tap was turned on, the water would hit it, spin it round and close it. Ended up flooding our bathroom once because of this :rotfl:Cashback
