Advantage gold reclaim

I rang natwest yesterday as I had the advantage good account between 2002 and 2009. I advised them that I believed I was missoldcas I don't recollect being given any indicting that it was optional. The man said that yet can't uphold my complaint as I had cancelled the advantage gold in 2009, but that I was more than welcome to take my complaint to the financial ombudsman. Has anyone done this with any success?
