    Good stuff- well done!

Are they sending a written offer / contract?

Hope same details of pay / duties holiday / pension etc, as advertised!
breathe in, breathe out- You're alive! Everything else is a bonus, right? RIGHT??
  • They are indeed. I have an informal offer by email with rota, holidays, benefits etc. She said she would put it all in writing next week, email it to me and send a hard copy in the post.

I originally wanted the job quite badly, nothing has changed since I went for the interview, so I have accepted.
I am scared I have to say-I am comfortable in my present post and have been there 8 years. Could be out of the frying pan in to the fire. But I will always wonder what if.......

Well, you must have had a reason to apply, better pay/terms/work than at present?

    Go for it!

    Yes, yes and yes!
After discussing with my husband I have accepted. It's a bit scary, been in my current post 8 years. I am hoping it will reduce the stress in my life which in turn will reduce my silly anxieties about things.Onwards and upwards.....:D

    Congrats.

Hope you get onto dry land soon.
  • What field is the job in? What field have you transferred from?

I only ask as after 8 years in Education based roles I need a change of focus and trying to work out what field to switch too...

    Congratulations!
  • I currently work for an airline as a dispatch supervisor for flights.
The new role is for an operations controller for a helicopter company.

It's still in aviation but totally different jobs.
I am currently responsible for quite a lot of people, and have passenger interaction. The new job will be pretty much just me, working alone for a lot of the time, with no passenger interaction.

I'm pretty scared to be honest. :rotfl: I have to train away from home for 6 or 7 weeks, which is the bit I'm least looking forward to.
