Passenger front electric window noisy
Options
I have a ten month old VW Up which I have owned for about six weeks.
Today for the first time I wanted to open the passenger window (to clear the rain off) and it made an awful noise. It went up and down absolutely fine, but really sounded sort of scratchy. My OH says this is nothing to worry about - just the brushes or something - and is because it probably hasn't been used for months, but I find it a bit worrying.
If the worst happens, are electric windows covered under manufacturers warranty?
Alternatively, any suggestions for shutting it up?

Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time

You can get silicone based lubricants to spray in the window guides that might do the trick.
