Could someone clarify or find me a link (don't seem to be able to find anything).
Can 16 year olds to to the pub without an adult, as long as they don't drink or buy alcohol?

https://www.gov.uk/alcohol-young-people-law
It states
If you’re 16 or under, you may be able to go to a pub (or premises primarily used to sell alcohol) if you’re accompanied by an adult. However, this isn’t always the case. It can also depend on the specific conditions for that premisesForty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
I've just found this, which is taken from a website for foreigners visiting the UK
Licensing laws
The minimum drinking age is 18. Children of 14 or over are allowed into pubs, but cannot drink alcohol (except for over-16s having meals in designated eating areas, accompanied by adults). A child under 14, if accompanied by an adult, is allowed into the bar area if the pub has a 'children's certificate' -- these pubs usually make it clear that children are welcome.

Any age. They can't order an alcoholic drink if they're under 18 and most pub landlords will ask them to leave around 7PM. It may even be a licensing condition of the pub but not all pubs have that as a condition and it's at the discretion of the landlord.
They can drink alcohol in a pub if the drink has been ordered by an adult and the alcoholic drink is consumed with a meal.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

It's still at the landlords discretion though. Back in the 90s, my mates and I use to go to the pub from 15 onwards. Drinking cola and playing pool without any trouble.0

UNDER 16s
Children under 16 can go anywhere in a pub as long as they are supervised by an adult, but cannot have any alcoholic drinks.
However some premises may be subject to licensing conditions preventing them from entering, for example pubs which have experienced problems with underage drinking.
16 TO 17-YEAR-OLDS
Young people aged 16 or 17 can drink beer, wine or cider with a meal if it is bought by an adult and they are accompanied by an adult.
It is illegal for this age group to drink spirits in pubs even with a meal.

This link seems to imply that only under 16's need to be accompanied inside a pub.
