You would need to ask someone who works for one of the many and varied organisations that have unfettered access to credit reference files. It might be illegal to do this - I don't know - SO I'M NOT RECOMMENDING THAT YOU TRY! Certainly if you asked someone in, say, a mobile phone shop to do it they could end up getting the sack. I know it's a kind of standard threat with many organisations that if you access the CRA's files on David Cameron you'll be fired.
If the guy is running a business you may be able to go to Dunn and Bradstreet or some such organisation and pay for a credit report on his company.
Another thing, credit reference files don't yet hold details of convictions, but I'm guessing the CRAs are working on this.0 -
You cannot do a credit check on him without his permission.
You can get access to accounts filed at Companies House, as they are in the public domain.
That business is only is only just over a year old and has never filed a set of accounts, so there is not much information available.
I would expect it is the company that did the work, so you would need to pursue the business and I suspect the business wont have any assets, so you may not have much to work with...
You could approach the courts, but if there are no assets in the business, even obtaining a judgement is not likely to do anything more than cost you more money0 -
You can check to see if he has any existing CCJs against him, using the trust online website, which is the registry trust. You can check this in both his personal name and business name.
But if he trades as a limited company then his personal finances are not very relevant as you would need to take action against the company and not him personally.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Not sure what you'd achieve in undertaking a credit check on him.
Surely trading standards / CCJ / appointing a solicitor is the way to go?0 -
You will not get 'convictions' from a credit file and as stated above, you cannot do so as a private individual.0

Got a judgement on him won the court but cant enforce it as he is a rat and runs from property to property so when you send in the bailiffs hes moved.0
