why is he mechanisation of production a bad thing?

If it isn't a bad thing, then why do unions fight it at nearly every turn?
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

why is he mechanisation of production a bad thing? Do you think we should undo all the changes that have been seen in agriculture or motor manufacturing for example, over the last hundred years or so?

You asked the question "where do the corporate profits and sky high bonuses for directors come from?". I answered it. Have you never heard of Apple? Are you deliberately being stupid in a bid to attract a sympathy vote?:)

The BBC is reporting that the meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party was pretty chaotic; you could apparently hear the shouting in the corridor outside.

"Jeremy Corbyn was apparently "read the riot act" and said nothing", Although his spokesman later said the meeting had been "warm and friendly".

If life in the Labour Party gets any more 'warm and friendly' there is going to be a punch-up.:)

I'm sure it will be an inclusive punch up without the need for any personal insults. Apart from Ms Abbot chiming in with some casual racism from the sidelines of course.

If this was a student union it would be bloody hilarious. Unfortunately it's a lot more serious than that. Imagine if something goes terribly wrong (hideous scandal or GFC II for example) and this utter idiot gets in. Even if he just manages to destroy the Labour Party for a generation I can't see any good coming out of that.

Diane Abbot is a joke. I was listening to Today on the drive in, and she was clearly out of her depth. She could only giggle like an embarrassed school girl.

Essentially what you're saying is that you'd be happy for yourself or anyone else to die or be disabled as a result of unsafe working conditions but you aren't happy to put up with minor inconvenience such as a cancelled train or a closed supermarket on the rare occasion that working people stand up for their rights? I suspect most people's priorities are different.

How many strikes in the last 10 years have been about health and safety, and not about pay? so does it follow that the unions themselves care more about money than safety?

one of the best ways to make workplaces safer is to remove humans from them; reducing headcount / mechanisation is so much safer but unions always seem to oppose this.

It was funny that they said they'd asked a bunch of different top people to come on and they refused. Instead Diane Abbott came on to chortle through the interview. Her answers were pretty much all the same, she might as well have just said 'don't know' to every question.

They do, they just aren't members of zealot unions so they can be sacked without the other trains striking.
If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.

How can anyone vote for a party that has had 3 policies on many issues in as many months?

How can anyone vote for a party that is clearly saying they'll run a deficit even in the good times?

    Madness.
