The continual smearing on this thread of a man who has good values and is trying to make the world a better place for the weak and disadvantaged is quite illuminating. I don't recognise him by the way he is characterised on here at all or the nastiness of the language used about him by many on this thread, (Cretin...etc.). I suppose it's a natural defensive response by those who feel such a man threatens their traditional prerogatives in our western society...... The sheer hypocrisy of attacking him for not condemning the Venezualan Government while totally ignoring the fact that the Tory Govmt have been selling them millions of pounds worth of arms for years is of course sheer partisan bigotry. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/aug/11/uk-criticised-over-sales-of-military-equipment-to-venezuela
This really takes the biscuit. It's beyond the comprehension of Corbyn supporters that Tory politicians might also be trying to do something for the weak and disadvantaged. Just that their way of doing it isn't quite the same.
The disgusting bile and hatred directed at the Tories by the Corbynistas is is regarded as perfectly acceptable by them but suggest that Corbyn might not be the saint that his followers portray and accusations of smearing and nastiness are made immediately.
The hypocrisy is nauseating.0 -

Perhaps you should ask Teresa Mayhem because she's the one supplying them with the arms to 'suppress the people'!0 -

But you won't do that will you?
Because, as always, when you say to the left 'great. Where's the money coming from?' they can never answer, becaue there is no answer, merely throw insults and bleat about tory cuts.
We (the whole world) will HAVE to live within our means at some point. It really cannot be any other way.0 -
Anybody else noticed how if you list the things Corbyn has actually done, or said, or refuses to say, the Corbynistas all leap to call it a smear?
Nobody smears Corbyn because there is no need to. Simply listing the facts about him is damning enough.
30 years of support for terrorists & regimes like Venezuela. 30 years of utter disloyalty to his own party (& therefore utter treachery towards all those Labour supporters who voted for that party). And in the brief time he's been in charge at Labour, he's ignored a vote of no confidence, reshuffled/sacked more shadow cabinet members than anybody ever before, delivered eye-wateringly shocking results in the local elections, followed by a sound beating in the General Election, and STILL refuses to denounce either the IRA or Venezuela.
Oh dear Jeremy Corbyn.0 -

Absolute nonsense. Show me quotes about Corbyn getting personal about the tories as people! However they've smeared him day after day as unpatriotic, a traitor to his country, a terrorist sympathiser etc. Look at the headlines in the press the day of the election! He can't be held responsible for what people say in his name. He can only be held accountable for what he says himself!0 -

I am genuinely astonished that you believe this to be comment worthy.
The nature of the staging was a little too contrived though.0 -
Are you seriously trying to tell me that you know enough about economics to say how much money we have? Such a tory aren't you....They tell you how empty the coffers are and how we all have to bend over and take it... and guess what... that's exactly what you do. Some of us have more self respect! They found the dosh to pay the DUP for a start! So much hypocrisy!
No, I don't know much about economics.
But it would appear that what knowledge I have surpasses yours.
Tell me where what I said is untrue.
Tell me where the money will come from.
I doubt you can.
If, as a country, we have £x billion coming in in revenue and we spend £x billion plus another £25 billion on top, we will, at some point, run out of money. It really is that simple. It applies to you, to me, to everyone, if you spend more than you've got coming in, there are only two things you can do that will work.
1. cut what you spend
2. increase what you have coming in
that's the ONLY solution that can ever possibly work
So what's your solution?
And SOLUTION please not insults or raving about the tories.0 -

I for one will concede that sometimes a Tory politician does something good for the weak and disadvantaged. But I also find that just when you think you have seen the end of the nasty party, they do something to make you realise its alive and well.

But hey things can change!Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

Yes, the tories are far from perfect.
Yet in your post I see no solution from you?0 -

Good financial management requires no knowledge of economics. Something that the Labour party have been lacking for some years. Allowing a financial journalist to become Chancellor was a grave mistake.0
