it all comes down to timing/cycles.

in 5 years time, if the economy/jobs/wages havent picked up in a meaningful way, then there will be a lot of disgruntled young people in their 20s and 30s voting for labour, which of course would be a very stupid thing to do under current leadership.

That's the fault of Brexit. Corbyn gives them hope and even though it is not in my best interests I support him all the way.

Remember the days of Marxist students. One I know of went onto to become CEO of a Nasdaq Company. Revolutionaries in the main grow up along the way their politics mellow.

Interesting. Throughout the election campaign Corbyn continually claimed he'd keep Trident. So who's the liar, Michael Eavis or Corbyn?

Spot on. The High Sparrow only goes to events where he know he'll receive fawning adulation. He did it when he ran for leadership. He did it throughout the election campaign (it was commented on numerous times that he would only go to places such as constituencies in the NE where they can feed images of him addressing a large crowd. He avoided campaigning anywhere he'd face a hostile crowd).

He's obsessed with being fawned over (something which we see the flipside of often too, when we witness his instant rage when he's questioned by journalists or interviewers on any topic he doesn't want to discuss).

And then again yesterday, he was at Glastonbury when any opposition leader worth his salt might have gone to observe Armed Forces Day.

Note, not only did he refuse the invite, he slyly posted a picture of himself alongside veterans taken on Remembrance Sunday in 2015 on his Twitter feed, to allow the impression he was actually marking the occasion yesterday. This certainly fooled some of his more stupid followers as I've seen it posted on other social media today how he "did go to support the veterans but the papers deliberately didn't cover it".

Thank you for this. I had seen through all the admiration thing but I had missed the rage. What I will say is that now it is time to look out for the lies and there will be a really lot of them once you start to look. They can be difficult to see at first but once you get one you can easily see all the others.

I had a close relative with an undiagnosed personality disorder. The main symptoms were needing to be the centre of attention all the time. Extreme rage if challenged or asked questions they didn't like. No empathy. Very good acting and came over as a really nice person unless you were a close relative that is. Very high self opinion as in they were always better at everything than anyone else and knew more about anything than anyone else. Were never ever wrong about anything. Basically a perfect person with no faults. It is a serious disorder for which there is no cure. You can't work with someone like this unless you agree with everything they say or do. If you do challenge them you are met with an extreme rage.

We do not live in a dictatorship so no party can hold on for ever. The longest since the war was the conservatives between 1979-1997 a whole 18 years but most governments dont seem to last that long.

Without knowing who will even be contesting the 2022 election I think its quite possible that will be the year it flips to labor.

Corbyn maybe with skill maybe with dumb luck seems to have killed center left labor so when the inevitable change in governing party comes it can be a proper left wing labor perhaps 2022 if not then the one after that.

Only if he finds sufficient competently qualified disciples. He'll find it tough to the maintain the impetus by himself.

Suprise surprise, Corbyn is claiming it's Michael Eavis who's the liar:

Jeremy Corbyn has been forced to deny claims that he told the organiser of Glastonbury Festival he plans to scrap Trident "as soon as I can" if he becomes Prime Minister.

A spokesman for Mr Corbyn said:
"Trident renewal is Labour policy, as spelled out in our manifesto, which Jeremy and the party were proud to stand on in the election."

Johnny Mercer MP said: "Corbyn is kidding even his own Corbynistas - he says one thing in public and the opposite in private. Don't be fooled this man is dangerous and cannot be trusted with our defence and security."

That's the problem with these festivals. You get all high & show off then the next day it's all recriminations.

That is the first lie that we know of now all we have to do is to look out for the others. Once you start to see one you can usually start to see others.
