Labour winning would be akin to McClusky winning. This would mean back to the old days of closed shops, frequent power cuts due to strikes, 3 days weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if the unions demanded shorter working weeks either.
Long term it would see a lot of companies simply giving up because of plans to bring closed shops back in, and the unions simply wrecking everything.
Unions used to be about the people quite a few years ago, now they are more about the people running the unions getting what they want.
So Labour would spend the money they don't have, unions would spend the money companies don't have, we would end up with high unemployment and inflation and the country would be in a mess.
And I really do not want someone in power who still refuses to condemn the IRA.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Under Corbyn it is likely mortgage rates will rise.
I'd like to ask his supporters how they would feel if their payments double?
And before you say rates cant rise that high, I assure you they can, my highest ever rates were around 15% and for many years around 7-8%.0 -
Oh and just at the time we need UK plc firing on all cylinders as we approach Brexit, the last thing we need is Corbyn's higher taxes on enterprise, not to mention the raft of costly employee centric new rules that will flow from the pens of Abbott and co.0

Just like with Trump's wild promises, once in power Corbyn wouldn't be able to do a fraction of what's in the manifesto so I wouldn't worry too much. They are an EYESORES!!!!0

The difference is Corbyn is surrounded by wild eyed Momentum and Communist types that have grand plans for those paying into the system and building a modicum of wealth, to the benefit of privileging huge numbers of non workers and the worlds poor that will be heading for the gold paved streets of Britain (Corbyns first action on becoming leader was to attend a rally for 'refugees').
They have well concealed plans to pay vast sums in reparation for slavery and Iraq, lefty virtue signalling will cost us dear.
Corbyn is incredibly dangerous and will see interest rates rocket as lenders deem the UK an ever greater risk, and ISA's and pensions will fall in value as companies face higher regulatory costs and taxes.0 -

Is that because you think gilt rates will rise?0 -

Tragic news quickly diverts the full attention of the media. Social care is a topic which requires a lot more debate and discussion. Not really a major one in the context of the next couple of years. Next week the topic of conversation will be something else. With the election drawing ever closer. There'll be some major salvo's heading towards the Labour party and the impact of their manifesto's proposals on the the UK economy.0 -
The thing that I've picked up is that Theresa May is so flakey and lacking in charm. Win or not this election has been exposure that has not put her in a good light!0

I will vote for May but something seems off with her. I dont know if its the religiosity or something else but she creeps me out a bit.0
