Hi
looking to take kids (14 & 15) to eiether Barcelona or Madrid leaving on Sun 23rd March 2008 and returning on 26th/27th or 28th March.
Flights are cheap enough, using Easyjet, however having never been their before have no ideas with regards to hotels.
Also I really want to take boys to a footie match whilst their. Anyone able to point me in the right direction.

dates and times of football matches can change because of TV requirements sometimes just a few days before as happened to us. Check the Barcelona and Real Madrid web sites for information about football fixtures.
As for hotels try tripadvisor.co.uk loads of information there and for price checking hotelscomparison.com. Renting an apartment is also goo value, so check the rental sites also0 -
You shouldnt have trouble getting tickets for a match at the Nou camp providing it isnt a derby or a game against Real
Myslef and mates went over and watched a game against Deportivo a few years ago. Just bought tickets from the ground a day before the match. Be warned that the cheapest tickets at The Nou Camp are in uncovered sections of the ground so take a brolly if its raining
At present Barca website showing them at home against Real Valladolid on Sun 23rd

Real Madrid at home against Valencia also on Sun 23rd

Ive never been to Madrid so cant really help you out with that one but people i know who have been all reccomend0 -
Tried to find the details for my stag weekend. I know it we got a great deal on a hotel on Las Ramblas, basic, but did the job.
I am sure we had Barca tickets left at the hotel for our arrival 2nd tier of Nou Camp, by either Lastminute.com or Ticketmaster.
Dont drink on Las Ramblas, a rip off. Try the Irish bars off Las Ramblas, especially on the road opposite Macdonalds.
Beware of pickpockets though, especially around Port Olympia. Thankfully they targeted the wrong person in our group, as all they got a way with was his IOU note reminders.0 -
