  • I would be a lot more than intimidated, and my advice would be (1) move out FAST. Ultimately, money is only that. I would go into a flat share, anything if I need to, but get the hell out of there.

    (2) report everything I know to the police immediately after moving and redirecting the mail to my family (or wherever, if I hadn't found permanent accommodation).

    You are worried about the consequences of reporting them, rightly so. Have you thought that if someone else report them, the blame might be on you, and you could end up in trouble anyway? These people are bad news for you and everybody else, so good luck!
  • I'm not quite following your comments re remaining with the same company - guess you are referring to your job and these characters know where you work?

    In that case - I would be thinking through my options re employment as well.

    Definitely don't trust your landlady with any information - whatever you do. If she has already said she suspects these characters are using the place as a "front" - then, one way or another it doesn't say much for her trustworthiness. Best for her to know nothing other than you are moving out (for stated reasons that are nothing to do with these characters). I would think she's probably honest herself - but a weak character that would readily give way to pressure to give any information she had on you to these characters.

    !!!!!! you have four options.
    1. Report them and give your name;
    2. Report them anonymously;
    3. Move;
    4. Put up with it.

    You have dismissed all four. What extra advice do you want or need? Or is your life so empty that you need to liven it up by trolling?

    Define trolling? Oh wait, I'll just reread your post... Perfect example.

    Anyway , thank you to all the sensible and thoughtful replies offering good advice, I'll will certainly use it.

    As for the sociopath who posted the uncalled for response... move along now.

    Just report it to the police! As a pp has mentioned there are probably a queue of people ready to grass on them.

    With all the intel that could be gathered from your flat they'd likely be banged up for years.

    Report it anon to the police with as little detail as possible but enough to make them act - don't mention overheard conversations - just mention the drugs. At the end of the day if the police carry out a search and find evidence of dealing etc, they will act on that evidence as to whether it's enough to charge. Unless you were willing to give evidence in court of your overheard conversations - they have little value.

    By reporting anon, it could be a fellow druggie, competitor or customer, not necessarily yourself.

    If the landlord is aware then he could be convicted of permitting the use of his premises.

    Crime stoppers:

    Loaded gun at property X, drug dealers. Hang up.

    Job done.

    It's literally that simple. The police dont need your evidence, they just need a tip off. This is so basic that I agree with a previous poster, this stinks of troll dung.
