Loft insulation..any cheap deals

Having delayed redoing the loft insulation for a couple of years now, i think it's about time i did it. just not sure what to buy and where to get it from..!!
i've seen on b&q they have the space blanket type buy one get one free, not sure if this is cheap or not and what thickness i should be looking for.
any advice much appreciated

Don't forget to look at the trade desks - I gave the brochure to my Dad but, depending how much you're buying, I think B&Q had quite a saving on insulation at the moment (and anyone can buy from the trade department!!).0
