Broker freedom finance help

Hi I need advice on how to claim back PPI which was miss old by freedom finance as a broker. We were told we had to have it and could not have the loan with out it as the loan was secured against the house. Freedom fiance were acting as a broker for first national who have gone out of business and taken over by G EMoney. G E Money are saying they did not sign us up and we need to contact the broker. As the broker does not exist who do we go to to claim back the PPI. We have since paid off the loan and the £5000 PPI lump sum and charges but not sure where to go. Any advice would be much appreciated.

As the broker does not exist who do we go to to claim back the PPI.

If its before January 2005 then you have no-one to contact. If its after January 2005 then you can refer your complaint to the FSCS.

i went to the financial ombudsman regarding this they forwarded my case to deloitte and they told me i need evidence to support the fact freedom finance sold me the loans, the financial ombudsman lost all my papers and evidence, when i requested them back so i can forward the evidence the dont reply to my calls or my letters even though ive sent them recorded delivery and they have signed for the letters ....ive been trying since 2009 to obtain this evidence since and have gone round and round in circles i even have an missold ppi agent on the case since 2009 and they are getting no where .....i asked the financial ombudsman how they know it was freedom finance who sold me the loans as i couldnt remember and they have failed to answer my questions. have now given up all hope. I requested all my dets from Acenden and the broker dets where supplied, that isnt even enough for delotte to pursue the claim.

however yesterday...i got a letter from Capital one who say they have bought some of the loans from London Personal loans it was attached with a form to claim back the ppi sold to me by london loans....im not holding much hope but in the letter it says that they have found im due ppi back from London Loans and although the company are in liquidation they havent closed yet and the papers will be destroyed this year as its the last year for claims. I will keep you all posted, i have sent the form back to capital one today recorded delivery.

That is understandable as many of these loans were sold via brokers and it was the broker that also did the PPI. Not the lender.

Unless you have given them evidence that Freedom Finance sold it or Freedom Finance have accepted they sold it then they would not know.

You obviously had a rejection from Freedom Finance. In that rejection, did they say they didnt sell any?

i had no rejection letter from freedom finance, freedom finance have not replied to any of my letters nor sent me evidence.... i already had the original contracts which i sent the financial ombusman who lost all my evidence when they xferred my claim to deloitte..... deloitte want evidence that freedom finance sold me the ppi, financial ombudsman lost my evidence...they will not answer my letters or calls regarding this, ive asked for my evidence back from them.....i have sent cheques to freedom finance data guardians since tp gey evidence again they wont reply..... anyway ge capital mentioned above is in fact capital one......try capital one.....ive just had a letter again saying sorry for delay in dealing with your claim but they are dealing with high volumes of claims.....

If FOS lost your documents, you should complain to FOS about the fact that it lost your documents.
