I need a little work done but am not sure what the daily rate would be for a bricklayer or a handyman who can lay bricks.
Can anyone suggest a rate?
Thanks in advance.

A self employed "Handyman" would be around £ 80-100 a day
A time served qualified bricklayer would be around £150-200 a day.0 -
I'm in the South, not the South-East. Hourly rates for handymen are £22/hour, no idea of the dayrate, at £22 I've not hired one for an hour yet

Oh my life ..................I know qualified tradesmen who don't charge that let alone an unqualified handyman.........PasturesNew wrote: »I'm in the South, not the South-East. Hourly rates for handymen are £22/hour, no idea of the dayrate, at £22 I've not hired one for an hour yet

I'm in the oxford area, your looking at £120 for a labourer, 150 for a cheap semi skilled builder, and £200 for a pro0

Suggest you get quotes for doing the job, not day or hourly rates.I need a little work done but am not sure what the daily rate would be for a bricklayer or a handyman who can lay bricks.

Suspect a decent experienced builder will do a quicker and better job but may cost more over all."We act as though comfort and luxury are the chief requirements of life, when all that we need to make us happy is something to be enthusiastic about” – Albert Einstein0 -
It's only a couple of days work for a single bloke.
Builders round my way are way to busy with extensions to bother with little jobs. I'm struggling to find anyone to do it.0
