Try this:

Look for something like "create signature" maybe in options.0

Will depend to some extent who the email provider is, as some handle html links differently from others (e.g. AOL).I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

I think it's only AOL. They use a form of compressed HTML. We have to cater for it when doing mass mailing for our clients. Most if not all web mail accounts will understand anchor tags (ie "<a href='...'>Link</a>").
If in doubt send an email to a friend to see if it works."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -

there's a setting in yahoo's options under General Preferences:
"Compose mail in color and graphics"
It only works for IE. and gives you a hyperlink icon to click for the link0 -
I just tried this in Yahoo Mail and it works ok:
Click 'Compose' to start a new message.
Type some text, e.g. "Click Here"
Highlight the above text and then click the 'Create Hyperlink' button, 13 buttons along above the message, looks like a globe with a chain on.
Enter the URL you want and click OK.
Hyperlink appears in your message, I sent it to a Hotmail account and it works OK.0
