Where can I buy Ibuprofen in bulk?

I'm not planning on taking them in bulk, its just that I have a repeat prescription and get 100 x 600mg tablets for £6.85 precription charge. It works out that i could buy them albeit at a lesser dose, for slightly less than this, but i wouldn't have the hassle of going to the surgery to put my request in, going back to pick it up, then to the pharmacy. I could get them in ASDA, but I can only buy 2 pks of 16 at a time. So, can I buy then in bulk online?
Would it be cost effective if it's a lower dose? Would you need to take more to equal the benefit of the higher dose? Thereby cancelling any saving?
Definately second the pharmacy prescription service. If you don't have a good local one then Boots do it too and you get 500 advantage card points just for signing up
I just ring my pharmacy and tell them what I need to order from my prescription and then pick it up a week later. They will also deliver free of charge if I am really bad that week and OH can't make it. :T0 -

very old thread, resurected by spammerCostco sell them in bulk, shrink wrapped in about 12 or 16 packs of 12 (don't quote me, a while since I have been).
My solution is to buy two packs of Ibuprofen or Paracetamol every time I am walking past somewhere that sells the cheapy cheap generic ones. I've come back with 8-10 packs from some trips.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

They will let you buy in quantity as they will assume you have a retail outlet where you will see them, I presume..
Good luck!!!
Unless you have a trade membership you cannot do this. The boxes have 'trade only' plastered all over them and if you try to get them with an 'individual' membership then the sale is refused.0 -
Supermarkets restrict the amount they sell due to 'responsible retailing' which is a concept the government and local licensing bodies push to them and that they need to adhere to so they can sell restricted products like alcohol, cigarettes, medicine, aerosols, etc.
At the supermarket I work in you can go and speak to the pharmacist in a private consultation and if they conclude you do need more than 2 packs they sell you more on the pharmacy till (it can't go through a normal shopping till). This is probably your best bet0 -

There's two types of membership at Costco - individual and trade. You can only buy pills in bulk if you're a trade member, they're not available to individual members.Make a list of important things to do today. At the top, put 'eat chocolate'. Now, you'll get at least one thing done today.
