Decided I ought to write myself a shopping list - not stuff I urgently need to go and get but a general list of the bigger stuff I need / want:
    1. Decent mattress
    2. New carpets
    3. New dyson
    4. Ds new bed
    5. Laptop for school for ds
    6. Desk chair for ds
    7. Replace velux windows

None of it is urgent, the mattress is a want more than a need, as is the dyson. The carpets desperately need replacing but while the dog is here it seems a bit daft, maybe I'll wait and see if he's gradually going to go to Mums more in the summer?

Ironing is done, although there will be another pile by tomorrow when today's washing is dry, but at least for now there's none in a pile waiting to be done. I've also tried to book an eye test appointment online, I'm supposed to hear back today with the actual time.

Ds should be back soon and Mr S will be round too. The lamb is in the slow cooker, I might check the bank acccounts and move some money between them. I must also clean this keyboard this week, it just keeps putting in extra letters all over the place

Morning, £5 payout from a survey site, added to the total. I forgot to switch the alarm off this morning so was awake at 6, but it was lovely being able to ignore it and go back to sleep :)

I need to speak to Mum but I think today involves a trip to Ikea.

I survived Ikea, it wasn't too bad for a school holiday. I spent £65 and £15 in the cafe but Mum has given me £40, (£15 for the cafe and £25 towards ds new desk chair). So, I got ds new chair, a big plant for the lounge, a nice plant holder for by the front door (still need to get some plants to go in it). The rest was on bits and pieces - a dishbrush, loads of their zippy bags and a few others bits that seemed a good idea at the time, time will tell :)

I've got kettlebells at 5.15 today, not much else planned. Postie brought me my tax credits letter today, I will be getting £570 at the end of this month and next then they will go down for the new year starting in April. Very very happy with this :D

Been quite productive this afternoon, have taken a couple of items to the local auction for Mum, then popped in to B&Q and bought the new door handle for ds bedroom, can't fit it yet though as Mr S appears to have taken all the screwdrivers with his work stuff :(

I also bought some compost and some plants for the new plant holder for by the front door, I'll get them potted up in a minute.

I have helped ds assemble his new chair, he's very happy with that :)

Kettlebells got cancelled, I knew I would sit around all afternoon waiting for it and not achieve anything else, I know that sounds daft but I know what I'm like :o Anyway, have got a few bits crossed off the list today so that's all good. Tomorrow will all be about the garage :o

The opticians got back to me and can't fit me in til Friday so I've tried Specsavers instead, they're supposed to email me back within 4 hours (by 6pm) so hopefully they can see me earlier than Friday.

Thanks Florence - you'll notice the deep cleaning stuff isn't really happening yet though, I do need to make a start on that soon, then I can do one room a day and not make it a huge task.

The opticians have just called me back and I have an appointment for tomorrow afternoon, so that's one more thing done off the list :D

Am starting to feel awkward about this ... went on to a different site as I was going to look at odds for a bet and had a £2 flutter on a slot (40p a go, so 5 spins) and won another £51 :T :T Have had my whole year's worth of luck in the last three days :D
