Hello
I am due to complete on a property today. The solicitor has just emailed saying everything is good, but they are waiting for me to send through the solicitor fees and management fee for the flat. Is this normal practice that they need this money in order to complete?

Yes. Get the money to them asap!
I'm sure they have previously asked for it......0 -
they never gave me a final completion statement breakdown until now.0

I just finally managed to get hold of the solicitor. They said that this will not hold up completion, as it is just my bill to them and not the vendor. I only received the statement at 2.15pm on completion day so you can understand the panick!!0

Yes, pay them now. It will almost certainly state in your contract with them that you need to pay them before completion (check your documentation)."The problem with Internet quotes is that you can't always depend on their accuracy" - Abraham Lincoln, 18640
