Talk Talk Landline and Broadband Out of Service

Just been on the phone to Talk Talk and there having some operational problems with Landline and Broadband in the following areas:

18/08/2007 Leven, Holytown, Dunston, Pentland & Broxburn Loss of Landline and Broadband service.

Customers are currently experiencing a problem connecting to the internet and making and receiving landline calls. Our engineers are aware of the issue and are currently investigating. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.CPWN

18/08/2007 Northern Region Loss of Landline and Broadband service.

Customers are currently experiencing a problem connecting to the internet and making and receiving landline calls. Our engineers are aware of the issue and are currently investigating. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.CPWN

I'm in Stirling and my parents are not able to use their phone. Engineers are currently on the case.

If your having problems or know someone who is there were approx 140 people waiting to speak to the faults team with an average waiting time of about 20 mins.

I'm glad TalkTalk resolved your connection problem so quickly.

I have had the same fault in Coventry for 5 weeks.

Have rang Customer Services and line faults every 2 days (not from my phone) and told there is a known fault that is being worked on.

11 days ago I raised a Customer Complaint regarding no connection (supposed to be resolved in 7 days) they have no solution to my complaint and will not pass me on to anyone to escalate it

There will always be customers who have had better service than others, its a fact of all companies not just Talk Talk.

Everytime i've had to call customer services there polite, professional and handle my enquiry swiftly. I've not one bad word to say about them!! They provide my parents and brother a very competative telephone and broadband service compared to the likes of BT who are more expensive.

There are Talk Talk staff on the MSE forums, maybe one of them could assist you with your problem.

Yep, even through your broadband may be free you can claim compensation at i believe around £2/day for broadband services lost.
