Hi.
Can anyone help my son? He is looking for cheap accommodation for himself and 5 friends in Amsterdam to celebrate his 21st birthday. He is happy to share a room for the 6 of them but doesnt want to share a dorm with strangers. He would ideally like to be quite central. It doesnt have to be fancy just cheap! Thanks.

The 19-year old grand daughter has just booked the 'Hampshire Hotel - Theatre District' - address; Nassaukade 387-390, in November at a very reasonable £57 per night for a double with breakfast via https://www.amoma.com
Not a recommendation, as she hasn't been yet but I was impressed at her choice- OK reviews on Tripadvisor and very central.
I was even more impressed at the prices she found for rail travel including Eurostar to Brussels on a dutch rail site; https://www.nsinternational.nl
Just rememembr to call it Londen St Pancras (not London) as it's a Dutch site0 -

Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0

The Botel used to be cheap but has been moved from near Central station - might need 2 rooms.
Personally would prefer my own locked door to a hostel.0
