Besides family members, what does she treasure?
My friend's gran lost her first born and only had one picture of her holding him. It was slightly bigger than a passport size and she didn't have the negative. The picture was becoming tatty and a bit flaky, it was also very faded too. Her gran came to the uk as a refugee from a third world country so didn't have much.
My friend was studying fine art so spent ages , no lie I'm talking weeks, painting this picture onto a canvas. When she presented it to her gran in front of her mum they both cried and cried. Awwwww
I'm not suggesting you take up painting if you're not into fine art but whatever she treasure you can think of ways to preserve it.0
