Wrong vehicle make on my ticket

Ted_the_trom
I received a ticket at Aylesbury Shopping Park, but the vehicle make is listed on the ticket wrongly. Also someone else was driving my car, and told me about the ticket. How do I proceed to avoid paying? Do I respond now to UKPC that the ticket is wrong, or wait for the notice to registered keeper?

no do not ring/write or email anyone , let them spend £2.50 getting your info from the DVLA ,
the next letter from them should arrive between day 29 and day 56 after the incident , early or late there are problems
please read the "newbies" thread , all Is explained0 -
Do not contact them, until you get a letter in the post. read the sticky thread in the meantime.
the worng registration number/colour/make/model etc can be used as a ploy by the parasitic parking company (PPC)to get the victim to name the driver/make an error and then as a result the PPC will increase its use of pressure tactics.
Wait. then take action against both the PPC and the site owner who contracted themFrom the Plain Language Commission:

Read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES before you do anything else. This will explain what to do.
Do not pay, do not ignore, do not reveal who was driving, do not miss the appeal deadline. Never, ever 'phone a parking company.
Putting wrong information on parking ticket is a well known scam in the hope the victim will 'phone up and admit they were driving. Don't fall for it.
The latest advice is to appeal as keeper at around day 20 as this may confuse the parking company so they forget to send a notice to keeper. Do not worry if the first appeal is rejected. Quick update: We are now at 11 weeks since the ticket was issued and I have not heard a dicky bird. :j0

Your case may have fallen into the period while UKPC are suspended from access to the DVLA database (from roughly mid-September to date).
As yours was a windscreen ticket (mid-August?) they had to wait for 28 days until they would normally be allowed to request your details, so you might have been lucky on dates here.
Do nothing at all, definitely NO contact with UKPC. Come back if you get anything in the post from them. Keep us posted as time progresses. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
