Tax Credits Childcare Change

Hi There

I have sent a letter to tax credits to get there tomorrow, informing them that my childcare costs have dropped. My youngest has finished nursery, so the total weekly childcare costs (including childminder fees from the eldest) will decrease from £168 per week to £43 per week as of tomorrow.

My question is: is there still a 4-week run on after childcare changes like this? I remember getting it when my eldest stopped nursery 4 years ago; when I asked them, they said it was normal as tax credits are paid in arrears.

I'm really up the wall at the minute, as I have more changes to report in September when youngest will be at the childminder too, between this and housing benefit I think i'll end up in a right pickle because of all the changes so close together. Unfortunately you can only report changes once they've happened.

I rekon i'll be waiting at least 6 weeks for housing benefit to update; tax credits tend to be quicker though, usually only 2 weeks so that's good.
