Reclaiming ppi without an account no

Options
Just wondering if anyone can help. I had a joint mortgage with my ex husband a few years ago. The account was closed in 2009. I'm pretty sure I had ppi on it and would like to make a claim but I have no way of finding out the account no. The ex has or had all the paperwork and there is no chance of getting the account no from him! I have wrote to bank of Ireland requesting details of loan agreement with my name and address that the account was registered at. When it was opened and closed but they have wrote back saying they need the account no or more information. I would rather go through a reputable ppi company that will take a percentage than get nothing at all so if anyone knows of one please let me know

Easy way to tell is look at a current account statement for that period. One of the reasons why most MPPI complaints fail is that most are set upi as monthly direct debit standalone payments from your current account and not built into the mortgage. In most cases, it wont be on the mortgage paperwork.

Why not? You need to involve him if its a joint policy.

This iis a mortgage. Not a loan. MPPI wont appear on the mortgage agreement.

Your data is not in the public domain. A claims company cannot find info that you do not have.

There is no such thing and if they do not have permission from your ex to deal with them then the business the complaint is against need not deal with them.
