say if i have historical debt that is under 5 years old think mobiles vanquis etc plus a few letters coming from debt recovery sites is there anywhere I can find out who i owe and what i owe assuming i no longer have a clue what I owe apart from the debt letters?

Get your credit reports, they will show 6 years worth of history which should give you an idea. You should get the reports from all 3 CRA's, they cost £2 each for the statutory reports.

Mind if i ask who the 3 bodies are? I will def get this done on my next wage day and come to an arrangement with all the parties to clear what ever it is i have outstanding.

You credit profile will start to improve as soon as you start doing something about it. You need to build a more positive history. Depending on how bad the history is it may take some time before lenders will view you positively enough to start lending again - or even lend at reasonable rates.0 -

The three main credit reference agencies in the UK are Experian, Equifax and Call Credit.
