So that's just over £1 at ebuyer ... or you can pay £7.99 at Mapiln or £19.99 at PC World!

I often use Rapid Electronics who have good service and sensible prices for this kind of thing.

Thanks for the link - sorry to sound dim but can't tell which is teh cable I need?....I'm looking for a minimum 5 metre length of cable to connect my laptop to the router ....(this will probably make you laugh but the one have that came with my netgear router and connects the pc to it is yellow...umm is colour any help or does it come in all colours?)

Any Ethernet cable on ebuyer which says 'patch cable' (i.e. a straight through cable) is suitable for connecting a computer to a router. Just go for the cheapest. Doesn't matter about the colour.

Makes no difference, just helps you sort cables if you have a rats nest on the floor !
